- An advertising department or advertising sales contact.
- An affiliate-marketing arrangement with any property, OTA, charter house, or jet broker.

Diversity statement
The publication is committed to source diversity in its reporting: properties owned and operated by women, by people of colour, by indigenous communities, and by operators outside the traditional Western European / American hospitality circuit are covered on the same editorial basis as any other property. The Standard rubric makes no allowance for who owns the property; it scores what the property delivers. Diversity in coverage is a function of where the desk visits, and the desk's visit calendar deliberately includes properties from operators traditionally under-covered by the luxury-travel press.
